Description

Powerful active ingredients

This hypotensive action is due to the presence of flavonoids, oleoside, glycolic acid as well as an iridoid, oleuropeoside, which is also a coronary vasodilator without causing a cardio-depressant effect: the olive leaf dilates the arteries and softens them.
Rich in minerals (calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, silica, sulphur, potassium, sodium, iron, chlorine), it contains fatty and organic acids, as well as an essential oil. All these constituents make olive leaf not only hypotensive, but also hypoglycemic and diuretic. And, as the active principles of particular interest are water-soluble, aqueous preparations (herbal teas and decoctions) are indicated.

Prep time : Infuse for 10 minutes 1 tablespoon of dry leaves in boiling water, filter.

Other indications

The olive leaf is also recommended against urinary problems and to fight against diabetes, edema and an excessive level of urea in the blood. Many authors have confirmed these properties, as well as an important action against arteriosclerosis and angina pectoris attacks. Doctor Leclerc insists on the absence of contraindications of the olive leaf and indicates that "the repetition of the treatment does not exhaust the action of the drug". We can therefore take it as long as we deem necessary!

Dosage and Preparation

It is advisable to do cures of 1 month, at the rate of 2 to 3 per year.
For a curative treatment, it is indicated to drink 3 cups of herbal tea a day. As a preventative, 1 cup every morning is enough.
