Description
Perched on a hillside, this forgotten ancient olive grove of 3000 trees is located on the wild banks of the Guadiana River in Alentejo, Portugal. Now pampered and revived by enthusiasts, these hundred-year-old olive trees produce a monovarietal olive oil obtained from the local tradition variety Galega. Once the small purple fruits are picked before maturity, the pitted olive pulp is immediately cold pressed at the village mill. Its very low vegetable yield coupled with its artisanal manufacture gives this extra virgin olive oil a flavor of the past: authentic, precious and unique.
